Yumi - Beach Volleyball Inks

Some of you who've seen my art may have noticed a couple things about it:  1)  I almost never show the full body.  2)  When I do, the anatomy is pretty weird.

This is an attempt to rectify that problem - I've started using a book called "How to Draw and Paint Anatomy" as a guide, and also taking my time to really attempt to do some better full body pictures.  I felt a swimsuit pic of Yumi made a lot of sense for this practice as I'm still far too nervous to draw nudity and yet this still gave me the most ability short of that to practice.

It's also a chance for my favorite catgirl to show off a bit <^.~> She's not supposed to be quite this busty, but I'm really bad at drawing breasts so she wound up a little top heavy heh;  not intentional but at least they don't look scary.

All told, it's not perfect - but I'm very happy with it overall.  Probably my most technically accomplished work to date.  I'm hoping to color and finish this piece in the next few days and then I have another request to do (which is part of why I did this piece - said request requires full body work again and I've been scared of trying to tackle that without some additional practice.)

I'll be adding her tail before I finish the piece - I noticed after I'd finished inking that I missed that;  shows how very rarely I draw her beyond her face and maybe shoulders eh?

I'm also planning on doing some male anatomy work down the line using her boyfriend as a model - poor Remn has never been properly drawn anyway, so the guy deserves a decent pic or two; and if I can give him a good body in the process so much the better!
